Refund Policy

1. General Policy

​

All bookings at Clay in the Shed are subject to this Refund Policy. By making a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Due to limited spaces, preparation time, and materials required for workshops, refunds are only provided in specific circumstances outlined in this policy.

2. Public Workshops

​

Public workshop bookings are generally non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend, you may request to:

  • Transfer your booking to another available workshop date (subject to availability), or

  • Nominate another person to attend in your place (with prior approval)

Requests must be made with reasonable notice before the workshop date.

No refunds or credits are provided for:

  • Non-attendance

  • Late arrival

  • Change of mind

  • Failure to attend without notice

3. Private Group Bookings

​

Private bookings (including hens parties, birthdays, corporate events, and group workshops) require a deposit to secure the date.

  • Deposits are non-refundable

  • Cancellations within 14 days of the event are non-refundable in full

  • Cancellations outside 14 days may be eligible for a partial refund, less any costs already incurred (including preparation, materials, or staffing)

Where possible, we may offer a reschedule or credit at our discretion.

4. Cancellations by Clay in the Shed

​

If we need to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (including illness, emergencies, or operational issues), you will be offered:

  • A rescheduled date, or

  • A full refund of any payments made

We are not liable for any additional costs incurred by participants (such as travel or accommodation).

5. Deposits & Payments

​

All deposits are used to secure your booking and cover preparation and administrative costs.

Deposits are strictly non-refundable unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.

Remaining balances are due prior to the workshop date as advised at booking.

Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in cancellation of your booking without refund of the deposit.

6. No-Shows & Late Arrivals

​

No refunds will be issued for:

  • No-shows

  • Missed workshops

  • Arriving too late to participate

Workshops begin at the scheduled time and cannot be delayed for late arrivals.

7. Change of Mind

​

Refunds are not provided for change of mind under any circumstances.

We encourage participants to ensure workshop dates and times are suitable before booking.
