Looking for a fun, creative, and memorable birthday party? Let Clay in the Shed bring the pottery experience to your location! Our off-site pottery parties are perfect for children and teenagers who love getting creative, with a hands-on activity that everyone can enjoy. I'll come to your venue, guide your guests through a fun 1-hour pottery workshop, then pack everything away while the celebrations continue. It's the perfect addition to your party without taking over the whole event. WHATS INCLUDED ✔ A fun 1-hour guided pottery workshop ✔ 300g of clay for each participant ✔ All clay, tools and materials supplied ✔ Step-by-step instruction throughout the workshop ✔ Firing and glazing of one finished piece per guest ✔ Complete set-up and pack-down at your venue CHOOSE YOUR PROJECT To ensure everyone has plenty of guidance and time to complete their creations, your group will all make the same project. Popular choices include: Pinch Pot Mug Trinket Tray Ring Holder Small Bowl Animal or Character Sculpture Custom project (available on request) If you have another idea in mind, I'd be happy to discuss creating a custom project for your party. VENUE REQUIRMENTS As this is a mobile workshop, you'll need to provide a suitable indoor or undercover space with enough tables and chairs for every participant. Please note that tables and chairs are not supplied by Clay in the Shed. A travel fee applies for all off-site workshops and is calculated based on your location. PRICING Pottery parties are typically $40–$50 per child, depending on your chosen project, group size, and travel requirements. Please contact us for a personalised quote. YOUR FINISHED WORK After the party, each piece will be carefully dried, glazed, and kiln-fired. Finished pottery will be ready for collection from Clay in the Shed approximately 4–5 weeks after the workshop. Collection details will be provided once your pieces are ready. BOOKING YOUR PARTY Complete the enquiry form with your preferred date, time, estimated number of guests, and party location. Once your requested date has been approved, a non-refundable travel deposit will be required to secure your booking. Your party is not confirmed until this deposit has been received. LETS CELEBRATE! Cancellation Policy
1. General Information This website is operated by Clay in the Shed, based in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. By using this website or making a booking, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. We may update this policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always apply. 2. Bookings All workshop bookings (public and private) are subject to availability and are not confirmed until payment is received and a confirmation email is issued. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings in the case of errors, availability issues, or unforeseen circumstances. 3. Payments All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. Deposits for private bookings are non-refundable unless specified otherwise. 4. Cancellations Public workshops are generally non-refundable but may be transferable with notice (subject to availability). Private bookings have specific cancellation conditions outlined at the time of booking. No refunds are provided for non-attendance. 5. Workshop Outcomes All pottery is handmade. Results will vary between participants. We do not guarantee final appearance, size, or finish of any piece. Breakage or changes may occur during drying, glazing, and firing processes. 6. Health & Safety Participation in workshops involves hands-on use of tools and materials. All participants must always follow staff instructions. We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove anyone behaving unsafely or disruptively. 7. Privacy We collect personal information only for booking, communication, and service delivery purposes. Your information is stored securely and is not sold or shared with third parties except where required by law. 8. Liability Participation is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in workshops or use of this website. 9.
